Author Guidelines
The International Journal of Medical Research and Innovation in Applied Science (IJMRIAS) welcomes high-quality, original, and scientifically rigorous manuscripts from researchers, clinicians, healthcare professionals, academicians, biomedical scientists, pharmacists, public health experts, nurses, allied health professionals, engineers, and industry researchers working in medical, healthcare, pharmaceutical, biological, and interdisciplinary applied sciences.
Authors are requested to read these guidelines carefully before submitting their manuscripts. Compliance with these requirements facilitates efficient editorial assessment, ethical review, peer review, production, and publication.
1. Scope of the Journal
IJMRIAS publishes high-quality research that advances knowledge in medicine, healthcare, biomedical sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, biotechnology, public health, clinical sciences, translational medicine, medical engineering, healthcare innovation, and interdisciplinary applied sciences.

All submitted manuscripts must represent original work that has not been published previously and is not simultaneously under consideration by another journal.
3. Manuscript Language
All manuscripts must be written in clear, professional, and grammatically correct English. Authors whose first language is not English are encouraged to obtain professional language editing before submission. Poor language quality may delay editorial processing or result in rejection prior to peer review.
4. File Format
- Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)
- Figures may be uploaded separately in high-resolution JPEG, PNG, TIFF, or EPS format if requested.
- Tables should be editable and included within the manuscript.
5. Manuscript Formatting
- Font: Times New Roman
- Body Font Size: 12 pt
- Headings: 14 pt, Bold
- Line Spacing: 1.5
- Margins: 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides
- Page Size: A4
- Page Numbers: Bottom Centre or Bottom Right
- Text Alignment: Justified
6. Manuscript Structure
Authors should organize manuscripts using the following sequence:
- Article Title
- Author Name(s)
- Institutional Affiliation(s)
- ORCID iD (if available)
- Corresponding Author Information
- Abstract (150–250 words)
- Keywords (3–6 keywords)
- Introduction
- Literature Review (where applicable)
- Materials and Methods / Methodology

7. Abstract and Keywords
The abstract should accurately summarize the objectives, methodology, principal findings, and conclusions of the study. The abstract should normally contain between 150 and 250 words and should not include references, abbreviations (unless essential), or citations.
Authors should provide three to six keywords that accurately represent the subject matter of the manuscript.
8. References
References must be accurate, complete, and consistently formatted throughout the manuscript.
The journal accepts:
- Vancouver Style (Preferred for Medical Research)
- APA 7th Edition
- IEEE Style (where appropriate)
Every citation appearing in the manuscript must be included in the reference list, and every reference listed must be cited within the manuscript.
9. Ethical Requirements
Authors bear full responsibility for ensuring that submitted manuscripts comply with internationally recognized research ethics and publication standards.
Authors must:
- Submit only original research.
- Ensure that manuscripts are not simultaneously submitted elsewhere.
- Avoid plagiarism, duplicate publication, image manipulation, and data fabrication.
- Obtain approval from an Institutional Ethics Committee or Institutional Review Board (IRB), where applicable.
- Obtain informed consent from research participants when required.
- Ensure compliance with ethical standards governing human participants and animal research.
- Disclose all funding sources.
- Declare all potential conflicts of interest.
- Accurately report study methods and results.
Failure to comply with ethical requirements may result in rejection, correction, or retraction in accordance with internationally accepted publication ethics.
10. Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy
The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools must comply with internationally accepted publication ethics. AI systems, including generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs), cannot be listed as authors because they cannot accept responsibility for the integrity, originality, accuracy, or ethical accountability of scientific work.
Authors remain fully responsible for all manuscript content, including any material prepared with the assistance of AI tools. Any significant use of AI for language editing, image generation, data presentation, or manuscript preparation should be transparently disclosed where appropriate. AI-generated scientific data, fabricated references, manipulated clinical findings, falsified images, or fabricated patient information are strictly prohibited.
11. Plagiarism Policy
Every manuscript undergoes plagiarism screening using recognized similarity detection software before peer review.
Authors should normally maintain an overall similarity index below 15%, excluding references, standard scientific terminology, institutional information, and appropriately quoted material.
Evidence of plagiarism, duplicate publication, self-plagiarism, fabricated references, manipulated figures, falsified data, or other forms of scientific misconduct may result in immediate rejection or retraction.
12. Peer Review
All manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process. Authors should ensure that identifying information is removed from the manuscript whenever anonymous review is required.
13. Submission Process
Manuscripts should be submitted through the official online submission system or via the editorial email address specified on the journal website.
Each submission should include:
- Complete Manuscript
- Cover Letter
- Author Declaration Form
- Copyright/Licence Agreement (if requested)
- Ethics Approval Documentation (where applicable)
- Patient Consent Documentation (where applicable)
Incomplete submissions may be returned without editorial review.
14. Revision Process
Authors receiving reviewer comments should:
- Prepare a detailed point-by-point response.
- Highlight all manuscript revisions.
- Submit revised files within the prescribed deadline.
- Provide justification for any reviewer comments not incorporated.
Revised manuscripts may undergo additional rounds of peer review where necessary.
15. Copyright and Licensing
Authors retain copyright ownership of their published work. Accepted articles are published under the journal's Open Access Licensing Policy and applicable Creative Commons Licence, allowing broad dissemination while ensuring appropriate attribution.
16. Article Processing Charges (APC)
Any applicable Article Processing Charge (APC) is payable only after final editorial acceptance. There are no submission fees or peer-review fees unless explicitly announced by the journal. APC information is communicated transparently before publication.
