Article Processing Charges
Article Processing Charges (APC) Policy
The International Journal of Medical Research and Innovation in Applied Science (IJMRIAS) operates under a fully Gold Open Access publishing model to ensure that all accepted scholarly articles are made immediately and permanently available to readers worldwide without subscription fees, registration barriers, or paywalls. The journal believes that unrestricted access to scientific knowledge accelerates medical innovation, promotes global collaboration, and enhances the visibility and impact of published research.
To support the editorial and publishing infrastructure required to maintain high standards of scholarly publishing, IJMRIAS applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) only after a manuscript has successfully completed peer review and has been formally accepted for publication.
The APC contributes exclusively toward the operational costs associated with manuscript processing, editorial management, peer-review administration, plagiarism screening, technical editing, copyediting, formatting, online publication, website maintenance, metadata management, long-term digital preservation, DOI registration (where applicable), and other publication-related services.

3. APC Transparency Policy
IJMRIAS is committed to complete financial transparency and ethical publishing practices.
Accordingly:
- Payment of the APC has no influence on editorial or peer-review decisions.
- All manuscripts are evaluated solely on scientific quality, originality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, and relevance to the journal's scope.
- Payment of an APC does not guarantee manuscript acceptance.
- Editors and reviewers are independent of financial transactions related to publication.
- No hidden, undisclosed, or mandatory charges are imposed beyond the published APC unless specifically communicated in advance.
- Authors are informed of all applicable publication charges before publication.
4. Payment Procedure
After a manuscript has successfully completed peer review and receives final editorial acceptance:
- An official Acceptance Letter is issued.
- The corresponding author receives the APC invoice and payment instructions.
- Authors may complete payment using one of the approved payment methods specified by the journal.
- Payment confirmation is verified by the Editorial Office.
- An official payment receipt is issued.
- The manuscript proceeds to copyediting, production, and final publication.
Publication begins only after confirmation of APC payment unless a waiver has been formally approved.
5. APC Waiver and Discount Policy
IJMRIAS recognizes that financial limitations should not unnecessarily prevent the publication of high-quality scientific research.
The Editorial Office may consider partial or full APC waivers in exceptional circumstances, including:
- Researchers from economically disadvantaged countries.
- Early-career researchers.
- Research scholars and postgraduate students with demonstrated financial need.
- Invited articles approved by the Editorial Board.
- Special issues or sponsored academic initiatives approved by the Publisher.
Waiver requests must be submitted before or during editorial processing and will be evaluated individually. Approval of a waiver remains entirely at the discretion of the Editorial Office and Publisher.
Requests for APC waivers have no influence on editorial decisions.
6. Refund Policy
- APCs become non-refundable once an article has been formally published.
- If an author voluntarily withdraws an accepted manuscript before publication, administrative deductions may apply depending upon the stage of production.
- No refund will normally be provided after copyediting, typesetting, DOI registration (where applicable), or online publication has commenced.
- Refund decisions are made solely by the Publisher based on the circumstances of each case.
7. Open Access Commitment
The APC enables IJMRIAS to maintain a sustainable open-access publishing model while ensuring:
- Immediate worldwide access to published research.
- No subscription or paywall barriers for readers.
- Greater international visibility.
- Improved citation potential.
- Permanent digital preservation of scholarly content.
- Rapid dissemination of medical and applied science research.
- Support for global scientific collaboration.
- Long-term availability of published articles for researchers, clinicians, educators, policymakers, and healthcare professionals.
8. Ethical Publishing Commitment
IJMRIAS maintains a clear separation between editorial decisions and financial considerations. Editorial evaluation, peer review, acceptance, rejection, and publication decisions are made independently and exclusively on the basis of scientific merit, originality, methodological quality, ethical compliance, and relevance to the journal. Financial transactions associated with APCs do not influence editorial independence or publication outcomes.
9. Policy Updates
This APC Policy may be revised periodically to reflect changes in publishing practices, operational requirements, legal obligations, and internationally recognized best practices in scholarly publishing. Any revisions will be published on the official IJMRIAS website and become effective from the date of publication.
