Official Appointment Policy for International Editors

The International Journal of Medical Research and Innovation in Applied Science (IJMRIAS) appoints distinguished International Editors to strengthen the journal's global scientific leadership, maintain editorial independence, promote research excellence, and ensure the highest standards of scholarly publishing in medicine, biomedical sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, nursing, public health, biotechnology, clinical sciences, and allied healthcare disciplines.

International Editors serve as honorary academic leaders who provide scientific guidance, editorial expertise, ethical oversight, and strategic support for the continuous development of the journal. Their appointment reflects academic merit, professional integrity, international recognition, and commitment to responsible scholarly publishing.

The appointment process is conducted transparently and independently, following internationally recognized principles of editorial governance, publication ethics, editorial independence, and conflict-of-interest management. Editorial appointments are made solely on academic qualifications, research achievements, editorial experience, and professional reputation without consideration of financial contributions, sponsorship, institutional influence, political affiliation, commercial interests, or personal relationships.

I. Principles Governing Editorial Appointments

IJMRIAS believes that editorial appointments must be based exclusively upon scientific merit, demonstrated academic excellence, ethical conduct, editorial competence, and international scholarly standing.

The journal follows internationally accepted editorial principles, including:

II. Eligibility Criteria

Candidates considered for appointment should satisfy the following requirements.

1. Academic Qualifications

  • No confirmed history of plagiarism.

III. Appointment Procedure

Editorial appointments follow a structured multi-stage evaluation process.

  1. Identification of eligible candidates by the Editor-in-Chief, Editorial Board, or Scientific Advisory Committee.
  2. Evaluation of academic qualifications and scientific achievements.
  3. Assessment of publication history and editorial experience.
  4. Verification of professional affiliations.

The journal reserves the right to verify academic credentials, institutional affiliations, publication records, reviewer activities, ORCID profiles, Scopus Author ID, Web of Science Researcher Profiles, PubMed publication history (where applicable), Google Scholar profiles, or other publicly available academic information before confirming an appointment.

IV. Responsibilities of International Editors

  • Provide scientific leadership.
  • Support editorial quality improvement.
  • Review manuscripts within their area of expertise.
  • Recommend qualified reviewers.
  • Promote fair, unbiased, and timely peer review.
  • Maintain reviewer confidentiality.
  • Promote publication ethics.

V. Editorial Independence

International Editors shall perform their responsibilities independently and objectively. Editorial decisions must never be influenced by financial interests, institutional pressure, commercial organizations, political considerations, pharmaceutical companies, funding agencies, advertisers, or personal relationships.

Editorial recommendations shall always be based upon scientific merit, originality, ethical compliance, methodological quality, and relevance to the journal.

VI. Conflict of Interest

Editors must disclose any actual, potential, financial, professional, institutional, academic, or personal conflict of interest before participating in manuscript handling.

Editors shall recuse themselves from manuscripts involving:

VII. Confidentiality
